Here are the ten winners of the logo competition.
They will be added to the head of this site over the period of the coming year.
As a final project activity our pupils in France, Italy, Scotland and Spain wrote some thoughts and poems reflecting on the things they enjoyed over the two years of our joint Comenius Project.
These were compiled into a book and published along with drawings and photos of all our work over the two years, and is a good record of what we have managed to achieve during our project activities.
Apart from enjoying the work and learning about new people, cultures and customs, we have enjoyed making and working with new friends across Europe. We have a better understanding of Europe and have literally brought our new friends into our classrooms using Skype, which was a wonderful experience.
We hope to build on our work in the future, making more friends in many more countries.
Our book can be found at our publisher
Or you can download the pdf file here.
Here are copies of all the end of term summaries that were posted on our staff discussion board.
These cover general progress over the life of the project.
Robert Louis Stevenson was a novelist, essayist and poet. He also composed some original musical arrangements.
He was born on November 13, 1850, in Edinburgh.
His most famous works are Treasure Island, Kidnapped, and Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
He died on December 3, 1894, at Vailima, Samoa, where he lived in his later years due to ill health.
We have made a short amusing musical movie, of the first two scenes of Treasure Island.

Each school provided starters, main meals and dessert courses for inclusion in the book.
They have now been put together as a book and is available to order in paperback in both A4 and A5 sizes, and are in full colour.
You can order your copy here and have it sent to you directly.
We hope that you will take this opportunity to try some of our delicious recipes.
The final project meeting to discuss progress and our final report, was held at Ednam at the beginning of the month. Teachers from our partner schools in France, Italy and Spain visited school and discussed the project.
The usual Scottish hospitality was given and as well as cultural visits, a Ceilidh was held in school for the visitors, staff and parents. A very enjoyable evening was had with staff and Comenius visitors participated in music, dancing and good Scottish food.
The Small Halls Band provided the music for the dancing and general listening, with Corinne and Joanna, Primary 6 pupils, displaying some fine dancing skills in their Highland dances.
A great evening was had by all who attended and our visitors were very happy with our hospitality.
Have a look at a short movie clip from the night and a general movie of the visit! It was sunny in Scotland for the visit!
As part of a Comenius Project activity Primaire Vandeins and Ednam have paired the pupils who work together using Skype.
They describe parts of a character, in the learned language, and the partner listens and makes up the character. At the end the listener shows what he made and the speaker says if it is correct.
Before they begin they introduce each other and ask how they are doing in the learned language. This builds on work we do in our classrooms.
Here Kyle is working with his partner from France.
